Enter the world of the Shorts 4 Kids Gaming Console and experience live apps with our S4K Avatars.

Join us for an action packed ride as they demonstrate ways you can travel the world, conquer dragons, and venture into new dimensions through compelling stories and invigorating songs.
    
Presented by City Theatre’s company of South Florida’s top young professional artists, S4K is a fun celebration of individuality, cultural diversity and self-respect. The next generation is here today.

kids2015image002The Short 4 Kids Family Program is an abridged version of the Summer Shorts Festival designed expressly for families. The program features performances tailored to a young audience, and includes a study guide which focuses on the literature of the show and the art of theatre. Shorts 4 Kids is performed at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and introduces youth to the dynamic “short” play format, and prompts important dialogue between children, parents and artists.

As city theatre has evolved, so has its distinctive educational programing for theatre goers of all ages and abilities. Part of City Theatre’s mission is to “produce innovative performances of original plays and create educational programming in South Florida that will enlighten, inspire and entertain.” City Theatre strongly believes in cultivating young theatre goers to think creatively and “ask the big questions.”

An important element of City Theatre’s mission is “producing innovative performances of original plays and creative educational programming in South Florida that will enlighten, inspire and entertain”. City Theatre strongly believes that all children benefit from innovative cultural arts experiences and its focus on the family musical and short play genre, has enriched Festival Family Programming with hundreds of young audiences within our community.
